The kit was shipped to Doc and Marsha's nephew, Staff Sgt John Vera, who is stationed at AL ASAD, Iraq. Because he felt that there are many more units that are much less fortunate than his, he took it to one of them.

Approx 200 marines of the Task Force have use of the kit. When there is the rare lull in operational tempo the Marines enjoy cooking out and several get together for a game or two of bowling during the brief respite. For at least one of the Marines pictured it was his first ever exposure to bowling!
 

And we complain about it being too warm in the bowling center...they move to a garage area to get out of the 100 degree weather! And there's no bar or prize fund, either!
